Mrs. Addie Sue Correll Brooks, 96, of Silver Creek, GA died on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. She was born in Heard County on May 1, 1918, daughter of the late William Henry Correll and Nancy Adeline Quarles Correll. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Benjamin Brooks, to whom she would have been married to for 76 years; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou Bush and Harold Bush; three brothers Earnest Correll, Arnum Correll, and Howard Correll; four sisters, Syble Foster, Paulene Coker, Ethel Vance, and Jassie Mae Owens; two grandchildren, Mike Blackwood and Connie Smith.

Survivors include her two sons, Harvey Brooks and his wife Jo Brooks of Dahlonega, GA and Charles Brooks and his wife Jane Brooks of Conyers, GA; two daughters, Jannell Arthur and her husband Charles Arthur of Fort Payne, GA and Hannah Cordle and her husband Tommy Cordle of Sharpsburg, GA; grandchildren, Pat Weintz, Angela Hill, Pete Deck, Edward Robertson, Sissy Nance, John Brooks, Robert Brooks, Becky Ballard, Alex Ballard, Joanna Ballard, Charles Alan Brooks, Bonnie Weeks, Charles Bush, Steve Bush, Carol Peronto, and Aaron Cordle; twenty seven great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Addie Sue Correll Brooks will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Issac Johns officiating. Interment will follow at White Graves Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Edward Robertson, Travis Nance, Phillip Lorren, James Weeks, Ryan Weeks, Anthony Hill, Chris Lorren, and Aaron Cordle.

The Brooks family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 3 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
