Adeline Thompson Ralston

Mrs. Adeline Thompson Ralston, age 86 of Calhoun, passed away Monday, November 22, 2010 at Gordon Health Care following an extended illness. She was born in Murray County on September 22, 1924, daughter of the late John and Maude Sitton Ralston. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Charlsie Ralston, and a brother, Zeb Thompson.

Mrs. Ralston was an avid reader, and enjoyed gardening and working with flowers. She participated in various activities at the Senior Center, and was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Ralston and his wife Vivian of Calhoun, and Keith Ralston of Ranger; a brother and sister-in-law, Johnny Mack and Emily Thompson of Calhoun; and two grandchildren, Lucas Andrew Ralston of Jacksonville, Alabama, and Lacie Marie Ralston of Calhoun. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Adeline Thompson Ralston will be conducted Wednesday, November 24th at 3:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Crawford Greeson officiating. Interment will follow in the Thompson Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Edwin Ralston, Tracy Thompson, Johnny Thompson, Rob Thompson, Doug Ralston, and Ted Thompson.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
