Mrs. Agnes Maxine Carter, age 79 of Calhoun, GA passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center following a period of declining health. She was born in Blue Ridge, GA on September 24, 1934, daughter of the late Mack and Ethel Pack Tankersley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence William Coleman; a son, Wayne Lee Coleman in 2006; and a great-grandchild, Logan Watson.
Agnes never met a stranger. She loved her family and her pets, and enjoyed attending gospel music concerts. She was well-known as the best biscuit maker at Hardees in downtown Calhoun. She was of the Baptist faith.
