Mrs. Aileen Singleton Smith, 61 of Aragon, GA died Monday, June 15, 2015 at her home. She was born in Whitfield County on May 13, 1954, daughter of the late James and Ruth Hicks Singleton. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Ann Waits; sisters, Amber Ruth Singleton and Debra Turley; and a grandchild, Ethan Waits.

She leaves behind her husband of 31 years, Donnie (Lee) Smith; her sons, Jerome Waits of Aragon, Jared Waits of Kennesaw, and Brian Waits of Woodstock; her daughter, Pamela Darlene Waits of Aragon; brothers, Vernon Singleton of Calhoun, Bobby Singleton of Rome, Earl Singleton of Rome, and Ricky Singleton of Dalton; sisters, Dimple Cox of Tennessee, Geneva Morris of Kingston, Jackie Ghorley of Kingston, Charlene McFall of Dalton, Brenda Randolph of Calhoun, and Shelia Redd of Adairsville; grandchildren, Sierra Waits, Blake Waits, Austin Waits, Caleb Waits, Dawson Waits, Bobo Smith, Jonah Dillon Waits, Tabitha Waits, Hadie Waits, and Jordan Waits; and a great-grandchild, Halen Waits. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Services to honor the life of Mrs. Aileen Singleton Smith will be held Thursday, June 18th at 1:00 PM from Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Highway 293 in Bartow County, with Rev. Eddie Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Shane McFall, Johnny Smith, Kirk Ghorley, Steve Ghorley, Doug Morris, and Dewayne Randolph. Honorary pallbearers are William Morris, Earl Smith, and Russell Redd.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday, June 16th and Wednesday, June 17th, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
