Obituary
Alan A. Cunningham, 83, of Calhoun, Georgia died Monday, May 4, 2020. He was born on May 1, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Arel R. Cunningham and Ida Heaps Cunningham. He was proceeded in death by his brother, Arel R. Cunningham Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Cunningham; his children and their spouses, Keith Alan and Pamela S. Cunningham, Sherrie L. and Frank Serpas, Terri L. Cunningham-Mallett, and Katie H. and Corey Bradley; his grandchildren, Lauren Mallett, Jenni Mallett, Heather DeFoor, Chase Bradley, Brett Bradley, Aubrey Serpas, Michael Serpas, Kayla Serpas Lowrey, Jeremy Cunningham, and Kyle Cunningham; sister, Carol Jackson;several great-grandchildren; his nieces and nephews, including his favorite nephew, Randy Jackson; other relatives and friends.
Alan was a well-known local insurance broker; he was the founder of Cunningham Insurance. He was a member of Meadowdale Baptist Church. For thirteen years , Alan was Commander of the Calhoun Civil Air Patrol. His life reflected his love of young people. It was his desire to mentor and influence them. He will always be recalled as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
To honor his wishes his body was cremated and all services are private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that donations be made to the Alzheimer/ Dementia foundation.
