Alice M. Derosier

Mrs. Alice Derosier, age 75 of Calhoun, GA died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Dudley, MA on July 26, 1936, daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline Vancelette. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Derosier, Sr.; two daughters, Donna Hytonen and Kimberly Rodriguez; and a brother and sister.

Alice had been employed at Ryan's Steak House in Calhoun before retirement. She was very friendly and outgoing, and never met a stranger. Her favorite occupation was being a grandmother. She was a member of Life House Ministries in Calhoun.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Derosier, Jr. and Kenneth Derosier, both of Oxford, MA; two daughters, Linda McPherson and her husband Peter of Ranger, GA, and Nancy Murray of Florida; two brothers, George Vancelette and Robert Vancelette, both of Worcester, MA; and a sister; Nancy Vancelette of Calhoun. Grandchildren surviving are Tobias Hytonen, Marcus Hytonen, Peter and Kasandra McPherson, Jr., Melissa Read, Brian Derosier, Michael Derosier, Brandon Murray, Antonia, and other grandchildren. Great-grandchildren are Candance, Macey, Collen, Katelin, Alyceson, Tristan, Jonathon, Cristian, Cullen, Joey, Grace, and Nathaniel. Other survivors include a daughter-in-law, Barbie Parker; special friends, Judy Parker and Patre; and nieces, nephews, and many other friends and relatives.

A memorial service to honor the life of Mrs. Alice Derosier will be held Sunday, November 6th from 6:00pm until 7:00pm at the Life House Ministries on Highway 53 in Calhoun, with Pastor Darrin Locke officiating.
