Alvin Osrow Easley

Mr. Alvin Osrow Easley, age 79 of Dalton, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center. He was born in Gilmer County, GA on March 18, 1934, son of the late Ernest and Myrtle Crump Easley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Easley; a sister, Louise Nix; and a brother-in-law, Hugh Richards.

Mr. Easley had lived most of his life in Dalton. He loved his family, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was the caretaker for his wife, and was of the Christian faith.

He leaves behind his wife, Betty Jo Horner Easley; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Cynthia Easley of Dalton; a sister, Ruth Richards of Ellijay; a grandchild, Mira Bookout and her husband Nicholas of Harrison, TN; great-grandchildren, Haliegh Bookout and Carter Bookout; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Alvin Osrow Easley will be held Saturday, March 8th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Liberty Church Cemetery in Ranger. Active pallbearers will include Tommy Horner, Dale Horner, Billy Horner, Nicholas Bookout, Carter Bookout, and George Richards.

The Easley family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
