Anita Lett Richardson

Anita Lett Richardson, age 74 of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on June 6, 1934, daughter of the late Grant U. Lett and Hazel Wells Lett. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Calhoun.

Survivors include a son, Terry G. Richardson of Rome; a daughter and son-in-law, Sonia and Todd Smith of Calhoun; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Cindy Lett of Knoxville, H.L. and Martha Lett of Halls, Tennessee, and Samuel and Carol Lett of Bristol, Tennessee; and a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Kenneth Leach of Knoxville. Four grandchildren, Amanda Cochran, Jacob Richardson, Alyssah Richardson, and Tabitha Smith; one great-grandchild, Octavia Chesser; and a special friend Peggy Sheriff also survive.

Funeral services for Anita Lett Richardson will be conducted Saturday, August 30 at 11:00am from the Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Brannon and Rev. James Wisener officiating. Active pallbearers will include Terry Hicks, Johnny White, Walter McBee, Richard Trimble, Dennis Duncan, and Russ Johnson. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the church Saturday at 10:15am. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Rock Sunday School Class, and they are requested to meet at the church Saturday at 10:45am. Burial will follow the funeral at Lynnhurst Cemetery in Knoxville at 4:00pm. The family will receive friends at Trinity Baptist Church Friday evening between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund in the name of Anita L. Richardson.
