Mrs. Ann Louise Brown, age 70 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010 following an extended illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and dear friend. Mrs. Brown was born on November 17, 1939 in Tomkins, New York, daughter of the late Willis and Grace Mullinax Henderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Maryanne Stewart.
Survivors include daughters, Shelby Street of Huntsville, Alabama, Debra Downs and her husband Danny of Birmingham, Alabama, Darlene Dommit and her husband Wayne of Columbia, Alabama, Rennee Carlisle of the state of Washington, and Suzanne Chastain Petty and her husband Jimmy of Calhoun; three sons, Robert Carlisle of Huntsville, Alabama, Ben Brown of Texas, and Zachery Brown of Alabama; and a sister, Shirley Baker of New York. Ninteeen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a dear friend, Gary Walters; as well as nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Louise Brown will be conducted Sunday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Active pallbearers serving will include Ben Brown, Zac Brown, Johnny Yeager, David Carlisle, Chris Brown and Timmy Gable. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Sahat, Kevin Smith and Jackie Petty. Interment will follow the service in the Fain Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
