Anna R. Brooks

Mrs. Anna R. Brooks of Adairsville passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Anna was born in West Liberty, KY on January 13, 1941, daughter of Irene Evans and the late Alvan Evans.

Anna was united in marriage to Charles Brooks on April 29, 1977, which makes for their 33rd wedding anniversary.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Brooks; a son, Derek Williams; her mother, Irene Evans; a brother, Michael Evans; and children, Gareth and Jared; a sister, Kim Hamby; and children, Michelle, Rosa and J.D.

Anna was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, serving on several committees. She was an active board member of the George Chambers Resource Center. She was employed by Chubb Group of Insurance Companies for 21 years and retired in 1999.

A memorial service to honor the life of Mrs. Anna R. Brooks will be conducted Sunday, January 30th at 3:00pm from the Trinity Baptist Church, with Rev Eddie Brannon officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Anna's memory to the Building Fund of Trinity Baptist Church, 1170 Rome Road, SW, Calhoun, GA 30701.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
