Annette Patterson Crook

Mrs. Annette Patterson Crook, 68 of Calhoun, died Monday, May 04, 2015 at Gordon Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Asheville, NC on February 3, 1947, daughter of the late Hoyt Edward and Edna Effie Wyatt Patterson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Camilla Darlene and Calvin Lollis.

Annette was a caregiver for the community. She attended Sonoraville Schools and was a 1965 graduate of Fairmount High School. She was a member of Plainview Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, James C. Crook; daughters, Jamie Crook, and Allison Lewis and her husband Howard, Jr., all of Calhoun; a brother and sister-in-law, Burnece and Charlotte Patterson of Calhoun; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Larry Roberts, and Kathy and Travis Burns, all of Calhoun; grandchildren, Andon Lewis and Jillian Lewis; and sisters-in-law, Bertha Chapman, Ellaree Smith, and Barbara Jean Jones.

A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Annette Patterson Crook will be held Wednesday, May 6th at 2:00 PM from Plainview Cemetery, with Rev. Anthony Lombard officiating, and a eulogy given by Darlene Johns. Active pallbearers will include Alan Jones, Dusty Jones, Terry Mathis, Richard Sullivan, George Gray, and Gene Erwin. Bill Gray will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The Crook family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM.

At Annette's request, flowers are to be omitted and donations be made to the Annette Crook Memorial Fund, to be used for her grandchildren's college education, at Wells Fargo Bank, 315 S. Wall Street, Calhoun, GA 30701.
