Annie Mae Blanton

Mrs. Annie Mae Blanton, age 74 of Calhoun, passed away November 13, 2007 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Lumpkin County, GA August 15, 1933 daughter of the late Mark and Roberta Lingerfelt. In her lifetime, Mrs. Blanton was a housewife and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Whitfield County.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Hastel Lee Blanton; a son and daughter-in-law, Frankie and Debra Blanton, of Resaca; two daughters, Kathy Petty and her husband Jackie, and Jean Petty, all of Calhoun; a brother, Grady Lingerfelt of Adairsville; two sisters, Bessie Mae Tinch of Adairsville, and Lula Mae Lackey of Calhoun. Four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Mae Blanton will be conducted Friday, November 16, 2007 at 2:00pm from the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Whitfield County with Rev. Tim Sanford, Rev. Charles Mulkey, Rev. Leroy Mulkey and Rev. Clayton Stanley officiating Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers serving will include Isaac Miller, Brandon Miller, Wyle Mathes, P.J. Mathes, Lewis Mathes and Randell Carns. Honorary pallbearers will include the Deacons of Bethlehem Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Bethlehem Baptist Church Thursday beginning at 11:00am.
