Annie Mae Worley

Mrs. Annie Mae Worley, age 85 of Calhoun, passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living following an extended illness. She was born in Bartow County on November 25, 1926, daughter of the late Andy and Clara Belle Shaw Cox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Jane Worley; a son, Jeffery Charles Worley; and a granddaughter, Charmin Worley.

Before her illness, Mrs. Worley was an active member of New Town Baptist Church, where she taught the Junior Girls Sunday School Class, and was also very active in Vacation Bible School.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, George Worley; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sue Worley; a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Jack Hensley, all of Calhoun; grandchildren, Rev. Stacy Hensley, Charisse Worley, Andy Worley, Kelly Hensley, Cody Hensley, Justin Worley, and Brody Hensley; and great-grandchildren, Kaylee Worley, Chase Worley, Zach Hensley, A.J. Hensley, Trent Hensley, and Karis Hensley. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Annie Mae Worley will be held Wednesday, September 12th at 11:00am from the New Town Baptist Church, with Rev. Walter Hare officiating. Music will be arranged by the New Town Church Trio. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery with Rev. Stacy Hensley conducting the committal service. Active pallbearers will include Jack Hensley and Mrs. Worley's grandsons.

The Worley family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday after 5:00pm.
