Annie Vee Townsend

Mrs. Annie Vee Louise Sanford Townsend, 85, of Adairsville died at her home on Saturday. October 4, 2014.

Born in Lumpkin County on March 20, 1929, Annie Vee was the daughter ofr the late Earl Sanford Sr., and the late Aloa Hardin Underwood. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Townsend; grandson, Jimmy Watkins; great-grandson, Joshua Thomas Grady; brother, Tommy Sanford; sisters, Pearl Silvers, Willadean Brooks, and Dora Sanford. She retired after working for several carpet mills. She was a lifelong Baptist.

Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Wanda Townsend, of Adairsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and J.T. Grady, and Barbara and Charles Ingram, all of Waleska; her grandchildren, Danny Watkins, Robbie Watkins, Robert Grady, Johnny Grady, Crissy Roland, Jeremy Townsend, and Amanda Townsend. Numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive.

The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from Salacoa Baptist Church with Rev. Ernest Hughes, Rev. Hoyt Jones, and Rev. David Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may sign the online guest register at www.maxbrannonandsons.com. Mrs. Townsends body will lie in state at the church on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the service at 2:00.

The Townsend family will receive friends on Sunday, October 05, 2014 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
