Anthony Stewart

Mr. Anthony Stewart, age 58 of Calhoun, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 at Gordon Hospital. He was a native of Gordon County, born on May 9, 1951, son of the late John Clay Stewart and the late Arylene Thomas Stewart.

Anthony was employed many years with Shaw Industries, and was most recently in the Maintenance Department of the Faus' Group. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Johns Stewart; a son, Chris Stewart; a daughter, Hollie Stewart; a brother, Johnny Stewart and his wife Sandy, all of Calhoun; and grandchildren, Reece Duke, Allie Duke, and Dylan Duke. Nieces, Monica Bond and Ryan Duke; a nephew, Eric Stewart, other nieces and nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Anthony Stewart will be conducted Thursday, April 15th at 11:00am from the Corinth Baptist Church, with Rev. Dino Bishop and Virgil Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in the Corinth Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Stan Hopper, Marty Black, Alan Sosebee, Mark Rice, Steve Chastain, and Scotty Welch. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Harris, John Hefner, Chris Howard, John Dixon, Eric Stewart, Donald Barton, and Jerry Phillips. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the church Thursday at 10:30am.

The family will receive friends Tuesday beginning at 7:00pm, and again on Wednesday at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
