Ardis Joan Davis

Mrs. Ardis Joan Davis, age 76 of Calhoun, died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Gordon Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born on December 10, 1934 in Indiana, daughter of the late Ora and Monzell Eckate Stepro. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, David Davis, Sr.

Survivors include a son, Dana (Shawn) Davis Sr., and his wife Sharon of Calhoun; three daughters, Pamela Davies and Benetia Davis, both of Reisterstown, Maryland, and Lynn Bonner of Manchester, Maryland; and two sisters, Joyce Long of Indiana and Jewell Shoewmaker. Nineteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.

At the request of Mrs. Davis, her body was cremated and no funeral services will be held.
