Arnold "Budd" Covington

Mr. Arnold "Budd" R. Covington, age 64, of Marietta, GA, formerly of the Red Bud community, died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice in Austell, GA.

Mr. Covington was born on September 9, 1950, in Calhoun, GA the son of the late Earl Covington and Jennie Richardson Covington. He was previously employed by Buckingham Mills, in Dalton, GA and Fridays Restaurant in Louisiana. He also worked on poultry farms later on in his life before ill health. In his spare time, Budd loved writing and working on genealogy. He was a graduate of Red Bud High School, and while in Middle Georgia College, he was in the writing club and worked for the school newspaper. Budd was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by both parents and a nephew, Matt Brady.

Budd is survived by two sisters, Yvonne (Larry) Waters, Silver Creek, and Joyce (John) Corn of Powder Springs, GA; two aunts, Charlcie Covington and Pluma McClung, both of Centre, AL; three nephews, Shane (Summer) Brady, Greg (Amanda) Corn of Dallas, GA and John Paul (Heather) Corn of Hiram, GA; along with many other cousins, relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Arnold "Budd" R. Covington will be held Sunday, January 18th at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating.
