Arthur James Thomas

Mr. Arthur James Thomas, age 65, of Eastanollee, GA, passed away December 1, 2015 at his home.

Born December 6, 1949 in Calhoun, GA, he was a son of the late Cole and Bertha Thomas.

He was a member of the Toccoa First Baptist Church and was self-employed. He was on the board with the Salvation Army, a former school board member, a Mason, and former owner and operator of the Java Station.

Family members include his wife of the home, Barbara Thomas; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Rick Steckelberg of Eastanollee; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan "Cole" and Becki Thomas of Adelaide, Australia; grandchildren, Austin Ashe, Nicolas Ashe, Anna Ashe, Fisher Steckelberg, Harrison Thomas, and Weston Thomas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Verbie and Vernon Caldwell, and Margaret and Gary Bowman; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Lisa Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Saturday, December 5, 2015 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Gary Bowman.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 11:30am - 1:30pm on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
