Barbara Ann Dutton Leonard

Mrs. Barbara Ann Dutton Leonard, 65, of Gordon County died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Gordon County on November 21, 1949, daughter of the late J.B. Dutton and Jannie Mae Rogers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Frankie Sue Moore.

Mrs. Leonard was a member of Plainview Baptist Church. She worked at Torrington Fafnir for eighteen years, and was retired from Apache Mills after fourteen years.

She is survived by her husband Wiley Leonard, to whom she was married for 48 years; two daughters, Kyle Leonard Smith and her husband Gregory T. and Misty Maines and her husband Tony W.; grandchildren, Riley Maines, Tyler Maines, and Gant Smith; great grandchildren, Ronald Smith, Ariana Smith, and Annlei Smith; and a niece and nephew, Robin Blaylock and Chad Adams.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Barbara Leonard will be held Thursday, February 19th from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Dr. James Shope and Dr. Larry Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving are Rod Dixon, Chad Adams, Scotty Blaylock, Juddy Campbell, Doug Smith, Wayne Leonard, and Jackson Davis.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 18th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 PM.
