Barbara Geraldine Owen

Barbara Geraldine Bates Owen, 65, of Tunnel Hill, GA died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Ellijay, GA on January 29, 1950, daughter of the late Charles Bates and Pearl Cornette Bates. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Bates Silvers.

She is survived by her husband Lee Owen; a son, Jason Goss; a brother, Hoyt Bates and his wife Deanna; and other relatives.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Barbara Owen will be held Saturday, February 21st at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at Underwood Cemetery in Ellijay. Pallbearers serving include Lee Owen, Wesley Graves, Jason Tattum, Jamie Craig, Tim Strumpt, and Donnie Chastain.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 21st from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
