Mr. Barney Harrill, age 67 of Ranger, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Gordon Hospital following several years of declining health.
He was born on March 4, 1947 in Monroe County, Tennessee, son of the late Earnest and Polly Clowers Harrill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters. Kathleen Howard and Tootsie Tyler; brothers, Paul Harrill, Charles Harrill, Bob Harrill; and a nephew, Timothy Silvers and his wife Elsie. Mr. Harrill served his country with the United States Army and was retired from Mannington Mills. He was a member and Deacon at Salacoa Baptist Church.
Mr. Harrill is survived by his wife, Linda Silvers Harrill, to whom he was married for 46 years; two brothers; James (Jimmy) Harrill and his wife Barbara of Madisonville, Tennesse, and Thomas Harrill and his wife Shirley of Sweetwater, Tennessee; a very special niece, Tammy Abernathy and her husband Isaac; as well as Kimberly Casey and Kristen Casey; a brother-in-law, David Silvers and his wife Glenda; and a sister-in-law, Judy Oliver and her husband Philp. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Barney Harrill will be conducted Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Sammy Hall and Rev. Tony Angel officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park, with Terry Hensley conducting the committal service. Music will be arranged by Mrs. Sheila Hensley.
The Harrill family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
