Ben Morrow

Mr. Ben Morrow, a lifelong resident of Calhoun died Wednesday, January 16th at Gordon Health Care following three months illness.

Mr. Morrow was born in Gordon County on April 8, 1931, son of the late Ben Morrow, Sr. and Ora Morrow. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Doris Fox Morrow and by sisters; Ruth Foster and Bernice Wilbanks, and a brother, Willard Morrow.

Mr. Morrow was retired from Lockheed Martin Aircraft in Marietta, and was a local businessman. He was a veteran of the United States Army; a member of the VFW and American Legion, and Victory Fellowship Full Gospel Church.

Mr. Morrow is survived by his wife of six years, Betty; sons; Benny Morrow and his wife Barbara of Calhoun, Jeff Morrow of Calhoun and Eric Tidmore and his wife Lizabeth of Chattanooga, TN. Five grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Ben Morrow will be held Saturday, January 19th, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jimmie Timms and Rev. Terry Timms officiating. Music will be arranged by Mrs. Betty Fair. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Active pallbearers serving include Mark Fox, Jack Holmes, Bryan Fox, Chuck Ray, Marvin Gordon, and Steve Mincy. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Saturday at 1:15pm. Honorary pallbearers serving will include members of the V.F.W. and American Legion.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 18th at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home between the hours of 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Victory Fellowship Church in Mr. Morrow's memory.
