Benjamin Franklin Talley

Mr. Benjamin Franklin Talley, age 78 of Calhoun, passed away Monday, August 17, 2009 following a brief illness.

Mr. Talley was born on May 9, 1931 in Hanceville, Alabama, son of the late William Thomas and Mary Ader Henderson Talley, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Ann Ledford Talley on August 8, 2002. He had lived most of his life in Orlando, Florida before moving to Gordon County. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War.

Funeral services for Mr. Benjamin Franklin Talley will be conducted Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jimmie Timms officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot of Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Wednesday morning prior to the funeral service.
