Mr. Benton Hill, 60 of Calhoun, died Saturday, September 3, 2016. He was born in Scottsboro, AL on April 12, 1956. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Claude B. Hill and Annie Valera Hill; a stepson, Jimbo Cook; and his brothers, R.C. Hill, Frankie Hill, and Larry Hill.

Prior to his ill health, Mr. Hill worked for J & S Textile.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patricia Ann Hill; stepdaughters, Lavone Klutz and Tammy Kennedy; sisters, Ruby Nicholes and JoAnn Clark; brother-in-law, Bobby Joe Fortenberry; sisters-in-law, Sandy Silvers, Dorothy Stevenson, and Linda Dale; grandchildren, Rebecca Hunter, Abby Hunter Reed, Justin Goforth, David Goforth Jr., Stephnie Cook, Richard Cook, Tara Cook, Brandon Goforth, and Josh Cook; great-grandchildren, Haley Ball, Dylan Ball, Ashlynn Hunter, Rylan Woody, Chelsy Ghram, Colby Ghram, Ashton Ghram, Breanna Cook, Kristin Cook, James Cook, Lexie Cook, Jayden Goforth, Austin Hunter, Joesph Hunter, Chanler Hunter, Karlee Cook, and Kennedy Thaxton.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Bruce Sanford officiating. Pallbearers serving are Tony Chamlee, David Gorforth Sr., Justin Goforth, Jeffery Newport, Steve Silver, Jim Dale, Tony Hunter, and Corey B. Haynes.

The Hill family will receive friends on Thursday, September 8th from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 1:00 PM.
