Obituary

Bettie Sutton Harrison, 86, of Calhoun died at Gordon Healthcare on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 following several years of declining health. Bettie was born in Gordon County on April 10, 1932; she was the daughter of the late Vernie and Gordia Sutton. Along with her parents, Bettie was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Harrison, in 1991; her son, Hughlen Harrison, who died while serving his country in the Vietnam War. Bettie had been in the textile industry, an in-home caregiver, worked in childcare, and in the restaurant business. She had attended Adairsville Church of God.
Bettie is survived by her children, Lester (Jane) Harrison, Chester (Linda) Harrison, Jerry (Priscilla) Harrison, and Dexter Harrison; her grandchildren, David Lamar 'Bumper' (Ashley) Harrison, Jason Keith (Rachel) Harrison, Toby Harrison; her brother, Pat Sutton; her sisters, Mary Dutton and Bobbie Adcock; several great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The Harrison family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Curtis Cemetery. Rev. Eddie Brannon will officiate. Her grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
