Mrs. Betty Faye Stanley, age 77 of Dalton, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born in Dalton on December 6, 1933, daughter of Alieen Summers Dillard and the late Jessie James Dillard. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Pete Dillard; and two sisters, Louise Dillard and Inez Dillard.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, John Calvin Stanley; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Craig Dunnell of Dalton; her mother, Alieen Dillard of Rocky Face; six brothers, John Dillard and his wife Linda of Dalton, Robert Dillard of Rocky Face, Alton Dillard of Dalton, Jim Dillard and his wife Judy of California, Donald Dillard and his wife Cindy of Dalton, and Terry Dillard and his wife Suzanne; and two sisters, Minnie Hooker and her husband Avon of Dalton, and Joyce Webb and her husband Jerry of Dalton. Three grandchildren, Craig Dunnell, Jr., Kelcey Dunnell, and Cailey Dunnell; and a special nephew, Ricky Dillard and his wife Judy also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Faye Stanley will be conducted Sunday, January 23rd at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Tyler Gilreath and Sam Dillard officiating. Active pallbearers will include Marty Webb, Eric Webb, Alton Dillard, Kenny Dillard, Doug Dillard, and Tom Dillard. Interment will follow in the Corinth Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
