Betty Freeman

Mrs. Betty Catherine Freeman, age 69 of Resaca, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Gordon Hospital.

She was born on June 30, 1941 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Berry Wilson Johns and Cora Lee Goforth Johns. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Loy Frank Freeman, and a sister, Martha Dutton.

Mrs. Freeman is survived by a daughter, Donna Rosa Jackson of Resaca; two sons, Johnny Freeman of Ranger, and Ronnie Freeman of Murray County; five sisters, Edna Lee Keeney and Margaret Lewis both of Resaca, and Ruth Muse, Ruby Bryant and Malsey Dutton all of Calhoun. Four grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Betty Catherine Freeman will be conducted Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 3:00pm from the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Vince Gulledge officiating. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday at 10:00am until time to depart to the cemetery for the graveside service.
