Betty Holden German

Mrs. Betty Holden German, age 72 of Calhoun died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Gordon County on May 9, 1941, daughter of the late Roy and Lovell Crump Holden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Christopher Bright.

Survivors include three daughters, Theresia (David) Bright and Kathy (Eddie) Cochran, all of Chatsworth, and Dorothy Wilson of Calhoun; three brothers, Billy Holden of Trenton, GA, Donnie Holden of Calhoun, and Ronnie Holden of Dalton; two sisters, Peggy Kinsey of Calhoun, and Diane Hayes of Dalton; grandchildren, Jody Bright, Mark Bright, Willie Davis, Teshia Davis, John Williams, and Michelle Williams; and great-grandchildren, Bailey Davis, Kinsey Williams, Eden Williams, Akyra Davis, Logan Davis, and Gabriel Lipps.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Betty Holden German will be held Tuesday, December 31st at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Jody Bright, Mark Bright, John Williams, Dorothy Wilson, and Alex Williams.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 PM.
