Betty Jean Pack Green

Mrs. Betty Jean Pack Green, age 77 of Calhoun, died Saturday June 28th., surrounded by her family whom she loved dearly at her bedside.

Mrs. Betty Jean Pack Green was born in the Ranger Community of Gordon County on March 1, 1937, daughter of the late Jasper and Lucy Silvers Pack. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and served Him faithfully at Faith & Deliverance Church where she played guitar, piano and sang. Prior to declining health she loved to spend time outdoors tending her flowers and keeping her lawn and enjoyed creating floral arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Walraven and his wife Angie of Calhoun and Danny Walraven and his wife Suzi of Dalton. Four grandchildren, Kacee Peterson, Tucker Walraven, Taylor Walraven and Trey Walraven and one great granddaughter, Aiden Peterson. Three sisters, Mary Fuller, Ruby Jo Turner and Martha Ann Silvers all of Calhoun and three brothers, Roy Pack of Smyrna, GA., Randall Pack of Resaca and Troy Pack of Calhoun. Nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive.

A service to celebrate the life of Betty Jean Pack Green will be held on Monday June 30th at 4:00 PM from Faith & Deliverance Church in Resaca with Rev. Richard Pack and Rev. David Nix officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include, Scott, Steve and Kenny Long, Randy Balliew, Ronald Balliew and David Craig. Fred Williams will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at Faith & Deliverance Church between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM Sunday.
