Mrs. Betty Lou Williams, age 69 of Calhoun, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Redmond Medical Center. She was born on September 13, 1942, daughter of the late Roscoe and Jule Gibson Nicholson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Steve James Williams; a brother, James Nicholson, and a sister, Martha Cronan.

Mrs. Williams had been employed with Gordon Health Care as a CNA.

Survivors include five sons, Franklin Thompson, Michael Thompson and his wife Peggy, Randall Thompson, Wendell Thompson, and Scotty Thompson, Sr., all of Calhoun; two sisters, Annie Sue Townsend and Elaine Chastain, both of Fairmount; grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson, James Thompson, Michael W. Thompson, Dewey Franklin James Thompson, Robert Mitchell Thompson, Brian Thompson, Brenda Thompson, Scotty Thompson, Jr., Shane Thompson, Michael Thompson, Jr., and Rachael Thompson; and four great-grandchildren, Carrie Johnson, Zoey Johnson, Houston Johnson, and Emily Johnson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Lou Williams will be held Thursday, December 15th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Salacoa Baptist Church cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Nathan England, Tony Erwin, Scotty Thompson, Frank Thompson, Chris Johnson, and Raymond Young.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 4:00pm until 9:00pm.
