Obituary

Mrs. Betty Mae Thomason Cronan, 82, of Ranger passed away Friday at Chatsworth Health Care. Betty was born in Murray County on January 11, 1938 to the late Allen and Arkie Crook Thomason. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Cronan; her daughter-in-law, Gina Cronan, brothers, Howard, L.B., B.W., James, Doug, Leonard, and Calvin Thomason; her sisters, Mary Faye Silvers and Bessie Silvers. She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children; Dewayne Cronan, Denise and Reed Childers, and Deloris Cronan; Grandchildren: Amber Childers and her fianc, Trey Steele, Kellie (Tim) Tidwell, Kala (Hunter) Cronan, Dylan Cronan and his girlfriend, Ruth Mehari, Kieanna (Brandon) Cummings; Great Grandchildren: Elizabeth Tidwell, Emory Hill, Chevy Massey, Noah Childers and Oaklynn Cummings; Brothers, Gene Thomason and Mack Thomason.
The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, May 24th at 3:30 pm from Maple Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Duane Smith and Rev. Eddie Brannon will officiate. Her body will lie in state at the church on Sunday from 1:30 pm until 3:30 p.m. Music will be arranged by the grandchildren and Shelia Hensley. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include; Donald Thomason, Jeff Thomason, Brandon Cummings, Daniel Sartin, Hunter Cronan and Josh Ellis.
The family would like to thank Chatsworth Health Care and Hospice of Chattanooga for their care and support.
