Beulah Dixon

Mrs. Beulah Dixon, age 90 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009. She was born in Gordon County on August 24, 1919, daughter of the late Ed and Hannah Poarch Walraven. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Odes Dixon; seven brothers, and four sisters.

Mrs. Dixon was retired from O'Jay Mills, and was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Sibb Dixon, Perry and Melba Dixon, Ricky and Shirley Dixon, and Morris and Claudia Dixon; five grandchildren, Kevin Dixon, Stacey Leigh, Angie Carter, Keith Dixon, and Jennifer McEntyre; and eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah Dixon will be conducted Saturday, December 19th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Minister Kent Bailey and Minister Terry York officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Scott Carter, Keith Dixon, Michael McEntyre, Jerry Barton, Jonathon McBrayer, and Albert Ertel. Music will be arranged by Ed Jones.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
