Mrs. Billie Pauline Arnwine Nicholson, who would have celebrated her 76th birthday on Saturday, passed away Friday evening, June 6, 2008 at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Nicholson was born on June 7, 1932 in Granger County, Tennessee, daughter of Rosie Maloney Frye and the late Conley Frye. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Nicholson. Mrs. Nicholson was retired from the textile industry.

Mrs. Nicholson is survived by four daughters; Janet Anderson of Canton, Georgia, Trenna Tate of Calhoun, Georgia, Marie Thurman of Fairmount, Georgia, and Cathy Truitt of Conyers, Georgia; two sons, Mark Arnwine of Ranger, Georgia and Mike Arnwine of Cartersville, Georgia; mother, Rosie Frye of Tazwell, Tennessee; two sisters, Hermaline Kitts and Betty Maloney, both of Knoxville, Tennessee; and two brothers, Charles Frye of Riceville, Tennessee and Conley Frye, Jr. of Tazwell, Tennessee. Fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Pauline Arnwine Nicholson will be conducted Tuesday, June 10 at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home. Pallbearers serving will include Jeremy Tate, Johnathan Tate, Nathanial Tate, Zane Tate, Melvin Nicholson and Timmy Nicholson. Interment will follow the service at the Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Monday after 12:00 noon.
