Billy L. Kilgore

Mr. Billy L. Kilgore, 81 of Calhoun, died Friday, February 5, 2016. He was born on May 29, 1934, son of the late Price Kilgore and Lillie Mae Kilgore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Ruth Kilgore; a son, Willie Swafford; brothers, Charles Kilgore and Edward Kilgore; and sisters, Gladys Chambers and Mattie Wade.

Mr. Kilgore retired form Ron Epps International, where he worked as a diesel mechanic. He was a member of Shannon Lodge #100 F&AM.

He leaves behind his sons, Ricky Kilgore and Jimmy Swafford and his wife Michelle; daughters, Mary Watters and her husband David, Donna Moore and her husband Roy, Kathy Ballard, and Suzette Long; a sister, Tiny Lance; 17 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Services to honor the life of Mr. Billy L. Kilgore will be held Monday, February 8th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jimmy Black officiating. Interment will follow at Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving are Jeremy Kilgore, Ricky Kilgore Jr., Jimmy Swafford, and Shaun Kilgore.

The Kilgore family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 7th from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
