Billy Mills

Mr. Billy Mills, age 49 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Erlanger Medical Center. He was born in Floyd County on September 23, 1960, son of William Grady Mills, Sr., and the late Virginia Leach. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by two sisters. During his lifetime, Billy was employed in maintenance, and was a member of Oothcalooga Lodge #154 F&AM.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Sheila Newberry Mills; his father, William Grady Mills, Sr.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Corey and Audra Mills, and Brett and Keisha Mills, all of Calhoun; a brother, Tommy Mills of Rome; and six grandchildren, Brody Mills, Angel Kreider, Dawson Mills, Storm Mills, Aliyah Mills, and Skylar Mills. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Mills will be conducted Thursday, January 28th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Junior Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Jesus Ramirez, James Pilcher, Tommy Riffle, Gregory Newberry, Terry Rose, Scottie Hutchins, Ronnie Wilkerson, and David Chastain. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Thursday at 1:15pm.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
