Billy Mitchell Dutton

Mr. Billy Mitchell Dutton, age 85 of the Farmville community, Calhoun, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 at Hamilton Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Gordon County on July 15, 1926, son of the late Robert and Laura Dobson Dutton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Hulon Dutton, and a sister, Daphne Beason.

During his lifetime, Mr. Dutton was a self-employed farmer and a veteran, serving his country in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of the Farmville United Methodist Church, and Sonora Lodge #221 F & AM.

He is survived by his wife, Wyonelle Henderson Dutton of the residence; and a son, Mitch Dutton of Calhoun.

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Mitchell Dutton will be held Thursday, February 9th at 2:00pm from the Farmville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Guy Kent officiating. Interment will follow in the Erwin Hill Cemetery. Music will be arranged by Laura Dutton. Active pallbearers will include William Beason, David Dutton, Keith Beason, Clayton Hall, Howard Hall, and Richard Wright. These gentlemen are requested to assemble at the funeral home Thursday at 1:00pm.

The Dutton family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Mr. Dutton's name to the Farmville United Methodist Church.
