Billy Williams Sr

Mr. Billy Eugene Williams, Sr., age 62 of Calhoun, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Redmond Regional Medical Center following several weeks of declining health.

He was born on October 6, 1950 in Floyd County, son of Lucille Frances Price Williams and the late Clarence Eugene Williams. During his lifetime he served his country with the United States Army, and was employed in the textile industry. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include a daughter, Angie Anderson of Chatsworth; two sons, Billy Eugene Williams, Jr. and Buddy Williams and his wife Amanda of Crandall; his companion, Alice Hummel of Calhoun; mother, Lucille Williams; two sisters, Diane Ray and her husband Wayne of Adairsville, and Aileen Storey and her husband Ronnie of Rome; and two brothers, Phillip Williams and Terry Williams and his wife Teresa, all of Adairsville. Eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Eugene Williams, Sr. will be conducted Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Farmer officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 4:00pm until 9:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expense.
