Bob Gregg

Mr. Robert "Bob" Lamar Gregg, 82, of Calhoun died on Saturday, December 3, 2016, following several months of declining health. Bob was born in Dalton on October 3, 1934; he was the son of the late G.W. "Jack" Gregg and Bernice Redwine Gregg. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jack Hayes.

Bob was a graduate of Dalton High School and Georgia State University. Bob proudly served his country as a staff sergeant in The United State Air Force. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Bob retired as CFO of Oriental Weavers. He loved golf, reading, and travel.

Survivors are his wife, Joyce Gregg, sons, Scott Gregg and Michael Gregg; step-children and their spouses, LaShea and Brent Newton, K.D. Wright, Tim Wright, Brent and Tracy Hughes, and Deb and Alan Wells; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Linda Gregg, and Richard and Nancy Gregg; sisters and brother-in-law, Vivian Hayes and Katherine and Gus Jordan and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Steve and Angie Ratcliff, his grandchildren, Karsen and Sadie Newton, Brayden and Hailey Hughes, Lexi Hamby, Tess and Kade Wright, Gabby Wright, Amber Lullo, Beau Wells, Christy Stanga, and Alex Andrews; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Eugene Ratcliff and his wife Jessie along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives. To honor Bobs wishes, his body was cremated.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow the visitation on Monday at 3:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Pastor Jerry Adair and Rev. Eddie Brannon will officiate.
