Bobbie Jean Green

Bobbie Jean Green, age 72, of Double Springs, AL, died at her residence August 21, 2011.

She was born November 26, 1938 in Monroe County, Mississippi. Mrs. Green was a member of First Baptist Church of Double Springs. She graduated from Winfield High School. She made a career working for South Trust Bank.

After retirement, she and her husband loved to travel and visit their grandkids. She loved football and watched with a critical eye.

Visitation will be Monday, August 22, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Double Springs, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 23 2011, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Blaylock Cemetery in Sulligent. Reverend Bill Frank Wilson will officiate.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, R.L. Green; son, Greg (Alice) Green of Calhoun, GA; brother, Johnny (Carol) Wilson of Memphis, TN; sister, Betty (Mike) Bainbridge of Birmingham, AL; she was "Momma Bob" to three grandchildren, Hannah Green, Luke Green and Isaac Green; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, A.L and Christine Wilson, and grandmother, Myrtice Ray.
