Bonnie Harrison Bell

May 1, 1921 — June 20, 2016

Mrs. Bonnie Harrison Bell, 95 of Calhoun, died Monday morning, June 20, 2016 at Gordon Health Care. She was born on Sand Mountain in Alabama on May 1, 1921, daughter of the late Lester and Jessie Hartline Harrison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bell in 2008; brothers, Lonnie Harrison, Calvin Harrison, and Colonel Harrison; and a sister, Loraine Holland.

Mrs. Bell was retired from Atlantic Rug. She had volunteered at Cherokee Nursing Home, and was the oldest living member of Antioch Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank the staff of Gordon Health Care for their special care of Mrs. Bell.

Survivors include her daughters, Betty Jo Grant of Dickson, TN, Retha Kidd and her husband Garry of Calhoun; and Sharon Knight and her husband Richard of Calhoun; her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Barbara Fuller of Calhoun; a sister, Johnnie Johns of Rome; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services to honor the life of Mrs. Bonnie Harrison Bell will be held Wednesday, June 22nd at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon, Rev. Garry Tate, and Rev. Larry Hibberts officiating. Music will be arranged by Faye Bentley. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Special friend, Wayne Brown, will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 21st from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
