Brenda Gail Kirkpatrick

Mrs. Brenda Gail Kirkpatrick, age 58 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Gordon County on February 6, 1950, daughter of the late Billy Sunday Stewart and Mildred Elise Crabbe Stewart of Calhoun. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ray Stewart.

Survivors include her husband, Lee Kirkpatrick; her mother, Mildred Crabbe Stewart; three daughters, Michelle Carter and her husband Jimmy, Cristy Long and her husband Mark, and Tabitha Shephard; a step-son, Dustin Kirkpatrick; step-daughters, April Fields and her husband Doyle, and Kristy Kirkpatrick; and a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Tommy Stapp, all of Calhoun. Five grandchildren; Nicole Carter, Dale Carter, Kevin Johns, Gordon Long and Hunter Long; and five step-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Gail Kirkpatrick will be conducted Tuesday, February 12 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Hibberts and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Oothcalooga Baptist Church Cemetery in Adairsville. Active pallbearers will include Jimmy Carter, Cecil Carter, Mark Long, Steven Belcher, Doyle Fields, and Ronald Johns. Gene Dewberry and Charlie Stanley will serve as honorary pallbearers. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 1:30pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday between the hours of 5:00pm and 9:00pm.
