Brenda Gilbert

Mrs. Brenda Sue Young Gilbert, age 55 of Ranger, GA passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Erlanger Medical Center.

She was born on September 6, 1956 in Gordon County, daughter of Tammar Mulkey Young and the late William Young. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Hamrick, and two brothers, Donny Young and Danny Young.

During her lifetime she was an employee of Perfect Fit Industries.

Mrs. Gilbert is survived by her husband, Bruce Gilbert; a daughter, Pam Shaw of Tennessee; five sons, Timmie Holden, Roger Gilbert, Randy Gilbert, Jimmy Joe Gilbert and Gary Gilbert; mother, Tammar Young of Ranger; two sisters; Mary Brown and Linda Silvers, both of Calhoun; and grandchildren, Tiffany, Tonya, Tammar, Jarrod, Allison, Brooklyn, Robert, Dustin, Haven, Cooper, Summer, Gilbert, Stellwell, Christopher and Christina. Three great grandchildren, Darius, Keriana and Natile; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Sue Young Gilbert will be conducted Monday, June 18, 2012 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Lamar Bearden and Rev. Ricky Silvers officiating. Pallbearers will include Timmie Holden, Jimmy Brown, Cully Gilfoil, Anthony Brown, William Gilfoil and Roger Gilbert. Interment will follow in the Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday evening during the hours of 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
