Brenda Joyce Nation Gates

Brenda Joyce Nation Gates, of Calhoun, died Sunday, May 21, 2017 at her daughters home, following five months of declining health. She was born in Gordon County, daughter of the late W.B. and Edna Caylor Nation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Nation.
Brenda was a graduate of Calhoun High School. She was very kind and generous, and loved animals and gardening.
She leaves behind her daughters and son-in-law, Britt Gates, and Shannon and Richard Sullivan, all of Calhoun; her grandchildren, Gunter Jordon and Gabe Soto; and nieces and nephews.
Honoring Brendas wishes, she will be cremated, and a private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
