Brittany Amanda Sutherland

Ms. Brittany Amanda Sutherland, 24, of Calhoun died on Sunday, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia from injuries received in a car accident.

Brittany was born in Dalton on May 27, 1991. She was a 2009 graduate of Gordon Central High School and a member of the Blue Wave Marching Band. Brittany attended the First Apostolic Ministries in Calhoun. Her son, Noah Rain Baker, preceded her in death in May of 2014.

Brittany is survived by her mother and step-father, Melinda and John Biddy, of Calhoun; her father and step-mother, Terry and Misty Sutherland, of Calhoun; her daughters, Cloey Elizabeth Jade Tanner and Angel Grace Welch; her grandparents, Mildred Sutherland, and Ronnie and Eunice Dean; her brother and sister-in-law, Bryan and Stephanie Purvis; her sisters and brother-in-law, Melanie and Dillon Lewis, and Monica Sutherland; her aunts and uncles, Stephanie Dean, Stephen Dean, Dewayne Dean, Mark and Sharon Leberman, and Mike and Vickie Sutherland; other relatives and friends.

Brittany's family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Ricky Silvers will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving are Lane Greeson, Todd Greeson, David Brown, Brian Young, Brian Purvis, and Rodney Barnette.
