Brittney Gravitt Rosser

Brittney Mae Gravitt Rosser, age 23 of Plainville, passed away August 1, 2010 from injuries received in an automobile accident. She was born in Floyd County on February 22, 1987, daughter of Johnny and Lisa Gravitt.

Brittney had attended Gordon Central High School, and was a self-employed caretaker.

Survivors include her husband of six years, Michael Rosser of the home; a son, Bryson Rosser; a daughter, Alyssa Rosser; a sister, Kym Parker of Plainville; her father and step-mother, Johnny and Karen Gravitt; her mother and step-father, Lisa and William Hicks; grandparents, Tommy and Hilda Gravitt, Bill Colburn, and Evie Shedd; great-grandparents, Mary Gravitt and Dorothy Nicholson; and two nieces, Kenzlee Parker and Kymber Parker. Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Brittney Mae Gravitt Rosser will be conducted Friday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Ken Coomer officiating. Interment will follow in the Scott Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Jeovany Perez, Steve Gravitt, Danny Stanley, Shane Dutton, Erik Moss, and Steve Gravitt.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 11:00am until the funeral hour of 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Brittney Gravitt Rosser Fund at Wachovia Bank.
