Bryce Jackson Dodd

Bryce Jackson Dodd, 28 of Calhoun, died Thursday, August 25, 2016 at his home. He was born in Gordon County on May 26, 1988, son of Mike Dodd and the late Paula Jackson Dodd. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Roy Waylon Dodd.

Bryce was a 2006 graduate of Calhoun High School, and a member of the CHS football team. He was employed with the Gordon County Sheriff's Department in the Detective Division.

Survivors include his daughter, Aria Eden Dodd of Rome; his father, Mike Dodd; brothers, Grant Dodd and Alex Dodd of Calhoun; an uncle and aunt, Douglas and Sharon Jackson of Abingdon, VA; grandparents, Hubert and Hazel Silvers Jackson of Calhoun, and Maybelle Dodd Knight of Calhoun; and a cousin, Eric (Catherine) Jackson of VA. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

Services to honor the life of Bryce Jackson Dodd will be held Monday, August 29th at 1:00 PM from First Apostolic Ministries of Calhoun, 712 New Town Road, with Rev. Dutch Scott officiating. Music will be arranged by Bud Owens and Cathy Talley. Entombment will follow at a later date in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Tony Pyle, Tab Fowler, Jamie Davis, Eric Burns, Jay Johnston, and Adam Cook.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, August 28th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
