Obituary

Burdette E. Weirich, 74, of the Ranger Community, died at Advent Health Gordon on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Burdette was born in Goshen, Indiana,, on April 27, 1946; he was the son of the late Eli D. and Martha Pauline Slabach Weirich. Along with his parents, his sister, Viola, his sister-in-law, Sara, and his granddaughter Jennia preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Elaine Weirich; his children, Regina (Doug) Andrews, David (Elaine) Weirich, Joleen (Joseph) Robbins, Viola (Jeff) Carpenter, Nelson (Joanna) Weirich, Thelma (Nolan) Hunsberger; seventeen grandsons and fourteen granddaughters; his brothers, Joe (Effie) Weirich, Daniel Weirich, Gary (Marge) Weirich, Gaylord (Rachel) Weirich, and Michael (Elizabeth) Weirich; many other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 3, 2020, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Meadow View Mennonite Church, 1212 Henry Gallman Road, Resaca. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, September 4, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. from the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ministers Luke Martin, Jonathan Martin, Joe Weirich, and Norman Schrock will officiate.
