Obituary

Burl W. Harper Jr., 71, of Calhoun, died Friday, October 11, 2019 at his home following an extended illness. He was born in Charleston, WV on November 16, 1947. He was preceded in death by his fur babies, PJ and Poo.
Mr. Harper retired in 2007 from Food Lion in Adairsville, where he was a store manager for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Stephanie Harper; his sons, Burl W.Harper III and his wife Daffodil, Chris Storie, and Kyle Martin and Jess Bolluyt; his daughters, Aimee Harper and Simon Monaghan, and Carrie Harper Lane; his parents, Dewey and Thelma Elmore Harper; his grandchildren, Payne Seiber, Raece Kear, Serena Storie, Ty Storie, A.J. Harper, and Psalmer Hermosa-Harper; a sister, Juanita Harper and her son Tony; his fur babies, Swayze, Harley James, and Baby Cakes; and a special neighbor, Calvin Caldwell.
Honoring his wishes, his body was cremated. Date and time for a Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.
