Mr. Burnece Leslie Patterson, 63 of Calhoun, died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Gordon Hospital. He was born on December 4, 1952, son of the late Hoyt Edward Patterson and Effie Edna Wyatt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Annette Crook and Dee Lollis.
Mr. Patterson attended Sonoraville School and graduated from Fairmount High School. He served 22 years in the U.S. Army National Guard. He served in Operation Desert Shield. He worked for Mannington and Vulcan Materials. He was also a member of Cornerstone Ministries.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Charlotte Ann Belvin Patterson; a daughter, Jennifer Lyles and her husband Jason; sisters, Marie Roberts and Kathy Burns; a grandchild, PFC Lorna Lyles USANG; nephews, Taylor and Hudson Serritt; nieces, Jamie Crook, Allison Lewis, and Kristina Smith.
Funeral Services for Mr. Burnece Leslie Patterson will be held Sunday, January 24th at 4:00 pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Ray Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Patterson family will receive friends at the funeral home of Saturday, January 23rd from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
