Calvin Enoch Cross

Mr. Calvin Enoch Cross, age 70 of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at his residence.

Mr. Cross was born on June 23, 1938 in Savannah, Georgia, son of Louise Simons Cross and the late Tillman Cross. He was preceded in death by a sister, Myrna Goolsby. During his lifetime, Mr. Cross was a veteran of the United States Army and was associated with the Harbison-Walker Company in the Human Resources Department.

Mr. Cross is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Cindy) Haynes Cross, to whom he was married for 43 years; two sons, Eric Cross and his wife Tracy of Smyrna, and Carl Cross and his wife Gaye of Marietta; four grandchildren, Emmy Cross, Clayton Cross, Madison Cross and Michael Cross; his mother, Mrs. Louise Cross of Savannah; a brother-in-law, Quentin Haynes of Calhoun; and two nieces, Barbara Mackey and Carolyn Goolsby.

Graveside rites for Mr. Calvin Enoch Cross will be conducted Friday at 11:00am from Fain Cemetery, with Pastor Brad Dillard officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the graveside at 10:45 am. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Pallbearers serving will include Jeremy Wyatt, Jeff Wyatt, Quentin Haynes, Jim Martin, Jim Dale and Chuck Haynie.
